Bellamack Gardens
Bellamack Gardens is in the Palmerston suburb of Bellamack, providing a new residential development to the market.
On 17 June 2009 Chief Minister Paul Henderson announced the initial concept of 32 ground-level expandable homes to be developed within Bellamack Gardens.
Before finalising design concepts, market testing was carried out through a series of focus groups.
Feedback indicated more open space in the development would be preferred. In addition to private open space, there will be a park with a barbecue and gazebo. This has been accommodated by reducing the number of townhouses and units in the development to 28. These will be bigger than the average sized 1-2 bedroom dwellings elsewhere in Darwin and Palmerston and will feature tropical design elements suited to the Top End climate.
